Share Your Story To End The Silence

Our mission at The Big Silence is to end the stigma surrounding mental health, and we truly believe the way to do that is to talk about it. We break down the stigma with every honest, vulnerable conversation. The more we share, the more we create a safe space for us all to feel seen, heard, and understood.

That’s why we’re launching a special series called Share Your Silence. We’ll be featuring different stories around mental health from members of The Big Silence community like you. Whether you’ve been impacted by a mental health condition yourself or through a loved one, your story matters and has the power to inspire so many others. You can show them they’re not alone!

We want to hear about your experience, what you’ve learned, how you care for yourself, and what you wish others knew.

We invite you to fill out  this form to share your story.

You can share as much as you’d like, and you can use your full name, initials, or be anonymous if that makes you more comfortable. We’ll be featuring some of these submissions on our blog.

Please join us to Share Your Silence! We can’t wait to read your story. Thank you for trusting us with your experience — we are honored and grateful!

SHARE YOUR SILENCE HERE.

Hello,

I’m not much of a creative storyteller but I would love to share my experience if anyone would ever like to interview me.

I am a 38 year old female who, like Katrina, grew up with a parent with full blown schizophrenia. I have spent my entire life coping with this deep wound and have also had to navigate my own diagnoses of various chemical imbalances and mood disorders.

I would love to have my family’s personal experience used for good if possible, so please reach out if you ever need input from someone who had also shared this struggle!

Thank you,
Jaime Bryant

ABOUT THE BIG SILENCE

WE ARE HERE TO BREAK THE SILENCE, TO BE A RESOURCE AND TO SUPPORT CULTURAL CHANGE IN MENTAL HEALTH.

It’s our goal to support people’s mental health journey from childhood to adult and to create a more joyful and loving place.
